Mark ellwood

CEO of pace productivity

For upcoming stories, please consider Mark Ellwood, productivity expert and President of Pace Productivity Inc. who conducts corporate time studies and invented the TimeCorder, a user-friendly device that tracks time for organizations and employees to increase time spent on top priority activities by an hour per day.

As an award-winning speaker, professional trainer and expert facilitator, Mark improves collaboration, with engaging and interactive workshops using “deep listening” and is the author of three books including “The Poetic Path To Getting More Done.

He can comment on the following hot topics:

-The astounding findings in his 34 years of scientific research and data about time use differences between men and women at work and who’s more productive and why.

-How his TimeCorder devices that are just slightly less complicated to use than a doorbell get a remarkable participation rate of 94%.

-The glut of email and diving into deep listening

-How he collected 500,000 hours of real time data in a database.

Mark says, “As a young boy, I delivered newspapers and realized I could finish deliveries faster by using technology, batching tasks, optimizing time and motion. Years later, I worked for a corporation where people were always late. I wondered how much time was collectively spent on waiting and thought one could measure that with a device. You could measure different activities using a stopwatch-type device, a chess clock in reverse, where only one activity could be tracked at a time. That was the ‘Aha’ moment when the TimeCorder was born.”

We are happy to share his new research paper on gender differences of time use and productivity which he will be presenting this October at a time conference in Corfu.
